How to have success when traveling for the summer!

Last week, we took our very first family camping vacation to Yosemite! We had no cellphone service, internet connection or TV which allowed us to be completely present with one another.

It really was liberating to be off the grid and made me realize how much time I spend on the computer and phone for business purposes. If you get the chance to go off the grid for a few days and enjoy nature and every waking moment, I highly encourage you to do so! There is no better way to enjoy this beautiful country, to enjoy every moment with those you love, get more sleep than ever before and completely RELAX! Our trip was definitely needed as it helped me come back refreshed and re-energized.

In addition to being present with my family and enjoying the beauty and wonder of Yosemite, I also was able to stay completely on track with my nutrition. How to travel healthy is probably one of the questions I get asked the most so I wanted to share with you a video that I made with some healthy tips for camping/ traveling. If I could stick to my normal nutrition routine while we were camping and did not have to make too many adjustments to my meals and/or eat foods I normally do not, you can too!!

Watch below for some healthy ideas for your last family trips before summer comes to an end.

Below are the items I brought along on the trip and mentioned in the video.
